Dear Families,

If you look, you’ll see Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) emerge from some of the most unlikely places and in so many careers. As elementary students, unless a family member has a career in this field, they may have no idea of the endless opportunities in this area.

We want to have a “Career Day” for the 3rd-5th graders where students can see how these skills are used in a variety of jobs. The goal is for them to not only learn about new career options, but also how these skills may be used in careers that might be surprising.

We would love for you to come in on Wednesday, September 25th from 2:00-3:15 to share your expertise. You would meet with three small groups of students for 20 minutes each.

1. Describe your career or hobby.

2. How S.T.E.A.M. elements are involved?

3. Try to have a work related example you can do with the students to get a real feel for what you do.

Please sign up on the Google form by September 16th, so we can plan for your visit.
For questions about our event, please contact Stephen Keller, skeller@cedarburg.k12.wi.us.

Thanks for bringing careers to life,
Parkview Community Connections Committee
