Daily Food Log

      3rd graders are currently learning about Nutrition in Science class. It is important to adopt healthy eating habits at a young age. In order for each student to start examining their own diet, we would like students to begin a food log of what they eat. 

          Students should write down what they had for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Then they will graph which food group they ate from for each of those meals.  They should remember that some foods contain more than one food group. They need to choose at least five days to log, but they can log more. 

For extra credit they can log the amount of time that they spent exercising and/or log more than five days. They can use the same exercises for both this log and their gym log (Ms. Knier).

When they are finished with the week, we would like them to answer the food log questions in complete sentences.

These are due on Mon. January 15th.
