In third grade, we study biomes as part of our science curriculum.  One of the biomes that we study is the pond. We are lucky to have two ponds just across the street from our school, in Centennial Park.  Throughout the year, every month or so, we will be visiting the ponds to note the changes we observe in weather, plants, water, and pond animals.  We will record these in our pond observation journal.

We will be starting to visit the pond this week. Please see your child's teacher about the exact dates and times. Also, please have your child dress for the weather conditions (sometimes it can get muddy).
