Hello third grade families,
We will be starting our recorder unit very soon in music class! This is an exciting experience for third graders, and a great way to introduce students to playing instruments. This year, we will be ordering Peripole recorders for $5.50 each. If you choose to purchase a recorder for your child, you will receive the recorder, case, cleaning rod, neck strap, and grease, as pictured below. If your child already owns a recorder or would like to rent one from Parkview, you will not need to purchase one.
Your child will receive an Order Form. Please return the form by Friday, January 19th so that I can make arrangements for our order. Rented recorders may be taken home, but must be returned in good condition at the end of the year. I will be sending more information about recorder expectations and care in the next few weeks.
