Pennies for Patients

Image result for pennies for Patients
Friday May 4th - If the school as a whole, collects $1000 in the first week, teachers will wear Star Wars gear on Opportunity Day! May the 4th Be With You!

Also, on Friday, May 4th students will "Donate to Joke" during lunch on Opportunity Day! To help raise money for Pennies for Patients, if students are interested in telling jokes during the lunch hour then they should bring a $1 donation along with this SHEET.  This sheet and $1 is due BY THUR. MAY 3rd.

If the school reaches its goal of $3500 by May 11th, then students will have the opportunity to "Duct Tape Mr. Jordan to the Wall."

We will be collecting everyday! Student council members are visiting classrooms to drop off donation boxes for students to collect their donations in.  They can then bring the box to school to dump their change/cash/checks into the classroom donation box! Online donations are also accepted. Collection boxes will also be out near the office on Opportunity Day and 4th/5th grade concert day!

Opportunity Day 5/4/18

Dear Parkview Families,

Opportunity Day is almost here!  We hope your kids are excited as we are.  Your child(ren) brought home their schedule for that day. Please take the time to review this schedule as some of the sessions require permissions slips to be signed.  This year, we are collecting them electronically.  This is not only quicker but less chance of it going missing.

Nature Ninjas- Ms. Kendra

The third graders loved learning about watersheds and how they connect to the pond biome. They also learned how other parts of nature can slow down water going into the pond. They became engineers and had to slow down the water (marble) and try to have the slowest time going from the top of the watershed to the bottom. Nice teamwork!

Hershey Bar

Thanks for the Hershey Bars! The kids loved learning about fractions and finding the various fractions for 12/12 pieces.
