Second Step Guidance Support at Home

At a recent PTO meeting, Mrs. Justinger, our school psychologist, spoke about our Second Step Guidance Program curriculum we use in the Cedarburg School District.  She had mentioned that there are online resources available for parents that could be used at home.  During this time we are facing, these resources may be especially helpful for you and your family at home.  More questions, feel free to reach out to Mrs. Justinger.

Families can go online to find resources and
activities to support Second Step at home. Here are
directions to give you access:
1. Go to www.secondstep.org
2. Under New Users, click “Create Account”
3. Complete the required fields
4. Add Program Activation Key: SSPE FAMI LY68

3/30 Museum Field Trip postponed at the this time

FREE Learning Resources to Use at Home

Yesterday, students came home with backpacks that had many materials inside. For now, please have them refrain from completing any of those items. Please do not lose these materials or toss them by accident. ALL of these materials will be expected to be returned to school, whether they are completed or not. If they would like to engage in anything, please just have them keep reading at least 30 minutes a day.  Please have them refrain from reading the chapter book they brought home-this will be used for a book club they will participate in during the following weeks. They can go on-line with Prodigy and do math activities.  Please have them use their SCHOOL account so we can track their learning-do not create your own account for them. If students run out of books at home to read, they can go onto their school account and use RAZ Kids, Book Flix, True Flix...there are so many on-line books they can read. Visit our Resource tab for more links.

Information will be sent in the coming days to provide more information about student learning/teaching that will take place over the following weeks.
