A Great First Day in 3rd Grade!

Today was an exciting day as we welcomed students back to school.  Third graders created All About Me posters to share,  played Get to Know You Bingo, learned about our Math Number Corner, conducted our first class survey and recorded our data, and read The First Day Jitters...even teachers can feel excited and a bit nervous on the first day of school!  All of our third graders did an amazing job showing Parkview Pride!  We are looking forward to a terrific school year with your children!

Snack and Water bottles

Each day third graders will be allowed to have a healthy snack. Please make sure your child's snack is nut free due to allergies in the classroom. If your child would like to bring in a water bottle, he/she can bring in a labeled water bottle and that will be left on the back counter. We do also have a water fountain aka bubbler in the classroom.

Poetry and Punch

Poetry and Punch is just around the corner. Each child has picked an individual or partner/group poem that he/she will memorize and recite for a Parkview third grade tradition. At home, you can help by having your child practice his/her lines and they should recite the lines with expression and can add hand movements. You will be invited to come to your childÅ› class performance. Each class has a different date. The start time will be around 2:15 and you will be invited for cookies and punch after the class performs. You can invite other family members and siblings that are not in school. Thanks for understanding. If you have questions, please contact your childÅ› teacher. On the day of the performance please have your child dress in fun, spring attire! Thanks!

Performance Dates:
Mrs. Moldenhauer- 5/22 Wed.
Mrs. French- 5/23 Thurs.

Just a friendly reminder to have a bag lunch & drink for your child for the Riveredge field trip. We will be eating in the classrooms at 11:00 and departing around 11:30. So your child can bring their regular cold lunch bag. *If your child needs to order a bag lunch from school, please let us know asap. We will return to the school at the end of the day. If your child has pond boots, you should also send those with your child. There are NO forms to complete since this is a district paid field trip.
