Great First Day!

It was a great first day! Way to go third graders! The children had a fabulous day adjusting to new lunch and recess procedures. Many kids were showing Parkview pride and being awesome role models by showing level 0 (no talking) in the halls & classrooms. Your child can earn Parkview pride tickets to earn at the Parkview school store (more details to come). Keep up the great work! We are ready to have fun and educate your child! First Day Picture

On Tuesday, Sept. 5th your third grade child is invited to bring in a prop (examples: crazy hat, sunglasses, etc.) to wear in his/her first day of third grade picture.

Bullpup Bonanza

Our Bullpup Bonanza will take place on Wednesday, September 6th and Thursday, September 7th (rain date Sept. 8th).  As part of PBIS, students will learn about being respectful, responsible, and safe at Parkview.  Some of the activities will be outside, so we encourage you to send your child with a water bottle and/or hat.  You may also want them to wear sunscreen and outdoor shoes.

Also on Thursday don't forget to wear your WHITE PARKVIEW PRIDE SHIRT!

The third grade teachers are excited to begin a new school year.  We are happy to get to know you better and look forward to seeing you at Sneak Peek on Wednesday, August 30th from 4:30-6:30. Please remember to bring your labeled school supplies.

Third Grade Supply List:

prior to sending to school.

10 #2 lead pencils w/erasers (sharpened)

1 box Crayola crayons-24 pack or less

1 red pencil or pen

1 personal hand pencil sharpener

1- 12” ruler with 8th inch & metric markings

8 low odor dry erase markers

1 old sock to be used as eraser

1 small pack colored pencils

1 large pink eraser

2 – 1” three ring binder

Girls - 1 box Ziploc bags (gallon size)

Boys - 1 box Ziploc bags (quart size)

3 separate spiral notebooks (wide ruled)

1 black & white composition notebook

1 pair Fiskars 5” pointed primary scissors

1 small set of markers

2 individual pocket folders

2 highlighters

1 - 4 oz. bottle of white school glue

4 large glue sticks – white

1 roll tape with dispenser

1  6-pack Post-it notes (3” x 5”)

1 large box of facial tissue

1 small supply box (5”x 8”x 2 1⁄2” – NO LARGER)

1 container of Clorox disinfecting wipes

1 pair of headphones (not ear buds) for computer, IPAD etc.

(bring in Ziploc bag labeled with student name)

1 pair non-marking gym shoes with laces (to be left at school)

(no slip-on, Crocs or thick soled shoes)

1 pair of socks ( to be left at school)

Girls – 1 pair of shorts (to be left at school)
