Art/Writing Contest for Students from Home

The community of Cedarburg is celebrating trees in 2020. This also aligns nicely with the 50th anniversary of Earth Day (April 22, 2020). One of the many events occurring is this student art/writing contest to highlight the benefits of trees across the community and beyond. Our Scientist in Residence, Dr. T, is coordinating this contest across the district, and we hope to get many student works to showcase across the community during Earth Week. Winners of the contest will get a tree planted in their honor. (They also get to help plant the tree!)

The flyer for this contest is here: Benefits of Trees Student Art & Writing Contest

Second Step Guidance Support at Home

At a recent PTO meeting, Mrs. Justinger, our school psychologist, spoke about our Second Step Guidance Program curriculum we use in the Cedarburg School District.  She had mentioned that there are online resources available for parents that could be used at home.  During this time we are facing, these resources may be especially helpful for you and your family at home.  More questions, feel free to reach out to Mrs. Justinger.

Families can go online to find resources and
activities to support Second Step at home. Here are
directions to give you access:
1. Go to www.secondstep.org
2. Under New Users, click “Create Account”
3. Complete the required fields
4. Add Program Activation Key: SSPE FAMI LY68
