Dear families,
Thanks so much for making our winter stations a success! The third graders had so much fun and we appreciate your donations. Each day, the kids work hard and it was nice to enjoy time chatting, doing fun crafts and activities as a class. We hope you have a wonderful holiday break with your family, friends and loved ones. We look forward to seeing you in the New Year!
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy New Year! See you in 2018!

Polar Express
Just a friendly reminder your child can wear PJs this Thursday, but should remember boots for when your child goes to recess. Also, if your child has P.E. please make sure they have gym shoes. Thanks!
Planet Reports and 3D model
This month, your child has been working on researching a planet of interest and finding out more about the planet. In the New Year, your child will be finishing his/her Google document, but over break, your child can always add details to his/her report. If your child would like to make a 3-D model of his/her planet he/she can do this. ***This is an optional part of the assignment and your child's grade will not be changed because he/she chooses to do a 3-D model. The model will be due January 15th. If your child chooses to do a 3-D model, this is how he/she will be graded:
EX: Excellent depiction of the planet. Shows a great amount of effort.
SC: Good depiction of the planet. Shows good effort.
DV: Fair depiction of the planet. Shows some effort.
NS: Depiction of planet is messy and unrecognizable. Shows minimal effort.
If your child chooses not to do a 3D model, then, your child will not receive a grade on that portion and it will not impact his/her Science grade. Please email your child's teacher with further questions.

Winter Clothing
Just a friendly reminder that your child should be wearing snow pants, boots, hats, mittens, jackets etc. for the cold, winter WI weather. If your child is missing anything, he/she should check the lost and found. If your child is playing in the snow, he/she needs to wear snow pants and boots. Otherwise, your child will play on the black top when there is snow. Please email your child's teacher with any questions. Thanks!
Winter Concert
A special thank you to Ms. Kesler for the wonderful winter concert. The kids did an excellent job singing and spreading holiday joy! We also want to thank you for joining us in the fun!
